Dr. Mohd. Ashik Shahrier, an esteemed Professor(Associate) of Psychology at the University of Rajshahi, holds an M.Sc. from the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh, and a PhD from Hokkaido University, Japan. With a focus on Cognitive and Clinical Psychology, his research delves into the intricacies of the human mind. Over their career, he has contributed significantly to academia, starting as a Lecturer and progressing to Assistant Professor before attaining his current position.
In addition to his academic journey, Dr. Ashik has garnered notable accolades for his scholarly contributions. They were awarded the prestigious Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship for his Ph.D. at Hokkaido University, showcasing his excellence in academia. His prowess extends to the international stage, where his clinched the Best Oral Presentation Award at the 20th International Conference on Alcohol and Drugs in Osaka, Japan, in 2018. Further, he has received travel grants for conferences in Osaka, Japan, and Dusseldorf, Germany, underscoring his global engagement in psychological discourse.
